Wrongful Incarceration: A Conversation With Centurion Leaders

Black people comprise almost 14% of the U.S. population, yet the Innocence Project indicates that about 58 percent of wrongful incarcerations involve Black people. On Dr. Martin Luther King’s Day of Service, The Racial Equity Initiative, Inc. collaborates with  Global Citizen 365 to bring you a free webinar with leaders from Centurion, the world’s oldest innocence organization.  Executive Director Paul Casteleiro and Assistant Executive Director Christina Francois will discuss the mechanisms of wrongful incarceration, a current case, and what communities can do to lower the risk of people being wrongly accused.
