Human Origins and Migration
The genes of all humans can be traced back to the Sans people, hunter gatherers, who now live in Southern parts of African countries of Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia, Lesotho, and South Africa. The Sans people are thought to be oldest living group of humans on earth.1
Humans migrated out of Africa beginning about 50,000 years ago taking two separate paths. The first group traveled along the southern coast of Asia and settled in Australia before migrating elsewhere, and the second settled in central Asia before migrating to areas of Russia, Europe, and the Americas.1
